A Hybrid Method to Evaluate Soil Liquefaction Potential of Seabed at Offshore Wind Farm in Taiwan

This paper undertakes liquefaction analysis with simplified procedures standard penetration test (SPT) data and cone (CPT) obtained from an offshore wind farm in the Changhua area. The soil resistance calculated by SPT-based procedure suggested Japan Railway Association was agreement laboratory results. CPT is widely used site investigation of farms. However, Taiwan’s registered professional engineers are still familiar for farms using methods. Hence, a hybrid method that incorporates SPT–CPT correlation into New Road (NJRA) proposed to evaluate potential Taiwan. In case studies five groups adjacent boreholes Changhua’s farms, shows consistent results procedures. To quantify risk liquefaction, Monte Carlo simulation calculate uncertainty CPT–qc estimating probability method.
